My father-in-law is giving me a '94 F150 reg cab 4x4.. with 33's.. excellent condition....

If I kept my jeep that would mean I would have three vehicles.. and I live in subdivision.. so I can't have that many vehicles. I have been restoring this jeep for a year, and have dumped ton of time and money into it, and haven't really gotten to enjoy it. I know I'm not going to get back what I've invested.

Ok here is the dilemma.

I'm in the process of rebuilding the motor right now, and should have it back together soon. I'm trying to determine if I should put it up for sale as soon as I get the motor back in, or should I finish up the interior and other loose ends.

List of things I've done:
General:
Professional paint job, body is perfect, paint is perfect.
New cat back,
water pump,
starter,
alternator,
battery,

Engine components:
New Head,
lifters,
oil pump,
timing set,
crank,
crank/rod bearings
all new gaskets and seals

Things that need to be done to complete the restoration:
New head liner,
stereo,speakers,
new front seats (it has seats from a 4dr that don't fold forward)
new door panels
floor pan area beneath the mat needs to be replaced, it has some rust spots (no major holes)
install 3'' lift (from parts jeep)

Features:
Dana 44 rear, HP D30 disco, NP231, AW4, cold A/C. 260k miles on the body. 1987 yr

The question is should I just get it running and sell it as is, or should I get it running, do the things on my list needed to finish it up and sell it? Would I get a return on the extra work? And.. what should my asking price be with either scenario?

hmmm maybe $1500-3000?

Take some pictures of the interior.
The exterior looks like it just rolled off the line, which is good, No visible rust or anything.
If it still runs and drives well it might be worth it to fix up the interior a little more.

It is an 87 tho, so its more than 2 decades old. Thats a tough sell.

To save you the hassle, just get it running and I'll take it off your hands. No charge.

Man, if you were closer....

The answer is obvious then, sell whatever the third vehicle is, use the proceeds to buy a trailer. Now you have a Jeep, a trailer, and a tow rig.

Didn't your FIL do a lot of nice body work to he right rear? I thought I remembered the thread from a while back.

The outside looks great. I paid 1500 for my MJ because the Exterior looked about hat good. If you fix it up you are just going to want to keep it...

The third vehicle is my '95 Camaro Z28 M6 that I've had since I was 17 and will never sell.. I have a lot of memories in it. I don't want to be one of those guys who is in their 40s and says "I wish so bad I had never sold that car"

It was my dad that did the body work to the 1/4 panel, and the paint job.

put the 4x8 trailer in the bed of the truck so you have an extra space for another vehicle. Problem solved.

tell the neighborhood association to get hosed and park it in the driveway!

Again, I would like to offer my services. Just give it to me, and I will park it in my yard. And swap the good stuff from mine to my new one, and wheel it. :D

you can leave it at my place that or find some one there that can stash it for you. there are a couple of other members close to you.
