I was going to take on basically a complete rebuild of a 67 convertable mustang. its a roller right now with no eng tranny.
This is Not a job for someone that cant visualize every part on a car that needs replacing without much thought. It is a complete rebuild. We have body taken care of and paint. Also I have a interior guy I will use.
As a very rough estimate theres about 160 hours involved. But not going to pay the 50-75$hr to have it done. Total profit should be expected to be about 4-4500$ cash.
Some larger item needs.
rebuild complete front susp. and rear susp. have short block rebuilt to stock, add the edelbrock alum kit with heads, man, carb, cam and new dist. strip complete interior (minus dash) and have it picked up for body paint and then dynamat complete 100% int, and wire in for sound and install new replacement A/C system (has one now stock). have it picked up for interior and top. get it back and reinstall every exterior item (bumper, emblems, lights etc). install and finish powertrain.
budget is set and not in stone. not going to allow a person though to out source due to cost. and also I have my vendors for parts, not looking to get parts gouged.
All in all its about a months amount of semi leasure work, and about a month of out sourced work. If your unemployed and ABLE to complete a project like this and take pride in your work and the outcome, let me know.
All parts will be puchased and to you with very little out of pocket and reimbursment parts.
I have done a few of these and then when the wife had the baby back in Dec 07 I had to turn him away and now he is asking again if I am able yet. I am not, but maybe I can offer help to someone here with some $ and a job for a month....
