yea it was alot. and there were other ways to get low gearing but I felt the atlas was the best way for me and worth it to spend alittle more. and dont worry your jeep will rack up the bills faster then you think.

I used to keep track of all my jeep bills but quit when it hit 20k but thats including the 4,500 I spent on the jeep its self. and the atlas.

It has shown me this.
Honestly it's amazing.
How fast does it go in 8 to 1

LIAR!!!

That's pretty sweet I guess

:D

well I havent tried a vertical wall yet but I have gone up and down the big hump in the comp course without using the gas or brake. no vids though. it might go up a real wall. just never had the chance.

I was in the passenger seat, I can attest to this. It was pretty awesome.

not the final placement of the links, but they should be close enough to get an idea of what it will look like when its done.

holy vertical separation.

I like it

yea it should be 8". which is the same as Ill have at the axle. also the links will all be within 2-3 inches in length. so hopefully the pinion will stay pointed in about the same spot throughout the cycle.

Looks good.
I also have ~8" of separation at both the axle and the crossmember. Works well. You'll be happy.

What are you doing for floor mods?

thanks. I basically copied yours. it just seemed like the best way to get the frame side separation. plus Id rather not weld a link mount to the thin metal of the inside of the frame rail.

Im just going to cut a big hole in the pass side floor and box it in when im done.

so I ran into an issue with my super awesome trans mount. turns out I made it too super awesome and I forgot the reason I made it was to be low profile.

When I boxed it in it became too tall and contacted the atlas. so began the trial and error (mostly error) process of take some off test fit, repeat untill bueno.

it fits now, also I cut the hole in the pass side floor for the 3rd link. I think Im going to have a tough time getting the link to clear the bump on the bell housing where the starter is. but I wont know untill I get the axle back under the jeep.

I dont know what the hell Im going to do with my exhaust. there is definatly no room on the drivers side, and the 3rd link tower is pretty close to the trans so no fitting it there. only other option it between the tower and frame rail.

the 3rd link is going to be hard to package. but I think it will work, Ill find out tomorrow when I finally get the 60 back under it
