How much of a PITA is it to cut off your UCA tower and move it towards the trans and make room for the exhaust near the frameside?

Not sure how the clearance for the UCA would work out, but might be worth the small amount of effort. Just cut at the welds, clean it up, tack, check clearances, burn it back in.

I wanted to run it out the fender but i think it will interfear with the control arms. I saw someone cut a hole in the frame rail and ran it out that way but i dont want to do that for structural reasons.

It would be a major pain in the ass to move the uca plus if i do idk if the arm will still clear the starter.

another thing i was going to try was going into the cab and back oht but it would interfere with the seat mounts. Idk how but ill figure it out.

Lol i really considered that. But decided against it because of rust/oxidation issues.

In all seriousness, how are your floors? You could cut out the floor above the rail and fit some in there. Even if you only did a short section in the rail. But if you did the whole thing inside you'd never rip a tail pipe off.

ok so this is over due but I managed to get the jeep out and it kicked dick!

only issues were it didnt like to turn right
and my Xmember bent cause of the unique(stupid) way I built it.






So im redoing the way it mounts to the body.

im welding on mew "wings" that will get bolted under the rails and will be boxed into the old wings and then to the 2x6. im hopint this will stop it from bending again.

so far









im going to weld in 3 new nuts and retap the factory ones to 1/2x13.
