Harold of the Rocks

Nope you're doing it all wrong. You have to cry about how you SHOULD just set it on fire, then fix it and wheel it anyway. Repeat as necessary.

Stefan will destroy his jeep 5 minutes into the first day and proceed to rebuild his front suspension in the campground that night. He will laugh in your face and tell awesome stories!!!

As long as he lends me his welder so I can "rebuild" my driveshaft, then cry about how it won't fit the jeep, that sounds like a great plan :eyes:

Negative, but we won't be far from somewhere you can plug in. I love that you pack a welder just in case.

One nick in that ram shaft and your ram is toast. Likewise with a dent in the ram housing.

Probably not the best idea to have both of those things be your leading skid plate.

I'd probably grind a relief in the diff cover, you don't need 3/8" where that bolt is passing by.

Yea i plan on doing some kind of skid for the ram. Work picked back up so i havent had time to really sit and decide how im going to tackle this.

My idea right now is pad it out a 1/4" and grind the diff cover and the head of the bolt a hair.

so I got the ram mount all set.

now Im working on keeping it alive.

I took this big circle piece of .25 I had laying around and did/plan on doing this

Im going to run 2 pieces of tube down and brace it back to the ram mount.

as well as running some plate kind of how the duct tape is on the side only higher and all the way back to the axle tube. as well as a few triangles to help support the more vertical part.

then Ill drill a hole in the front part so I can get to the bottom bolt on the ram clamp. and figure out what I want to do to protect the ram over the diff cover area.

You can never weld enough metal to your front axle, Ross should know that.

jesus what does that axle weigh now? Should make an epic boat anchor

Lol yea. I thought about drilling a bunch of holes in it. But then i remembered how much i hate drilling fuging holes.

I think im going to run att this junk for the summer and cut it all, sept for the uca mount off the axle and build it over again next winter.

I want to make my track bar longer. And build a nicer looking ram setup.

not much.

the axle is pretty much done, just have to built my mini tie rods.

Xmember is in links are done. just have to push the axle back and bolt it up. then burn in the coil retainers and its on its own weight.

but then I still have to do all the hose bull shit for the steering. and build my rockers.

I dont think the jeep is going to make it to the UJ run. but Ill be there either way. my girl might be with me.
