H4 HID conversion kit

Lol ok, I'll stick with my $100 aftermarket kit that's bright as hell, has a perfect cut-off with my $50 e-code H4 conversion housings that I got a long time ago (haven't been high beamed yet), and that doesn't glare at all.

Actually not having cats SAVES me money... see, there's a difference in forking over 500 bucks on headlights and getting rid of cats which ends up getting me more power and better mileage, not to mention never having to replace a cat again... yea, I can see how you could get those two things confused... :roflmao:

Thanx for polluting more. :yelclap: That statement right there proves you have no idea what you are talking about.

Alright calm down children don't turn this into another block thread... PurpleCherokee how long have you have your kit? I know a lot of those cheap kits' bulbs crap out after the first couple of months. That or the ignitors/ballasts short out or overheat.

I've had it for just a couple weeks. So far so good. And judging by the apparent quality of the product it seems to be built pretty well. The wires jackets feel like they're silicone, along with the connector seals. Also, the ballasts are fully encapsulated and are made by Hella. The general quality seems to be good. Seems like if you're gunna put so much work into making your product only SEEM like a quality product you might as well actually build a quality product. But time will tell.

There's no way to convince the neigh-sayers without buying them a kit themselves. Most are just pissed that they paid way too much for theirs lol.

Hella NEVER made aftermarket ballasts at that pricepoint. Nice try though.

Oh I'm not pissed because I paid too much. I'm pissed at your special brand of misinformation, so please don't spit in my face and tell me its raining. I, personally, used aftermarket HID kits. Older ballasts caused engine bay fires, and some weren't water proof. Aftermarket HID bulbs seldom match in Kelvin, and their lifespan is suspect.

That's what confused me... $78 for this kit, with Hella ballasts? Even when I looked at the pic on the website, they look nothing like the Hella's.

You could probably couldn't even get Hella bulbs on ebay for $78.

lol, I'd buy a freaking Jeep-load of those kits at that price. I'd make a mint reselling them. The only way you can score a good deal on Hella ballasts is... you guessed it... buy oem take-offs from a boneyard or eBay (which is what I've been suggesting all along).

Aftermarket HELLA HID kits usually come with Rally-type lights, and they cost an arm and a leg.

Calm down and take a deep breath. Everything will be ok. You're obviously a little touchy about your $500 headlights cause you assumed I was talking about you specifically when I most definately wasn't. Honestly, I couldn't care less if you like my headlights or not. Actually, I'd be a little suspect if you did like my headlights judging by how absolutely ugly yours are lol. Sorry but they are. Like hideously ugly.

I simply said that $500 for headlights is a little ridiculous and I maintain that now, as well as my right to say it. Your argument for justifying a set of $500 headlights is that they don't glare and that the light is the same color... wow, is that worth $500? Certainly not to me. Especially considering that my headlights don't glare, and they are the same color. And also, like I said before, I could give a shit less about what you choose to spend your money on but I also reserve the right to say that $500 for healights is crazy... imo. You must have no life if you insists on flaming me for buying some cheap HID's that perform flawlessly thus far. Get a life and lay off.

I'm ashamed at how terrible they look...

You're cute... with your lies, your youtube videos without wall shots, your general misinformation, and not-so-subtle insults towards my lights. You remind me of bluballer on JF. From now on I'm going to call you purpleballer.

FYI. I paid $500 for the headlights (I got them for half price), $150 for the cadillac SRX ballasts/ D1S bulbs, and $180 for some replacement rebased Philips 6000k ultinons. Would you like to know what I paid for my German projector foglights and rebased Philips 6000k H3s, or are we finished with this pissing contest?

Ok so you're sayin you paid $830 for your headlights... congratulations. I paid $105 for mine. You apparently like yours. I like mine too. Are you done now?

You sound you'd get along great with Michael Moore. What do I have to gain from "misleading" people with my "lies" and my "general misinformation"? Am I selling these lights? No. Have they been some amazing lights for me for the money? Absolutely. I was simply trying to spread the word for those who might really love to have some HID's that they can afford and will perform really well. So get off your stupid pedestal about your stupid lights and stfu please. Thank you.

one - There's nothing wrong saving a buck as long as you do things the right way, and you have a track record doing things the wrong way (right down to your cat removal). You could-have had genuine Hella ballasts/ bulbs with D2S shields for roughly $150. If you can't bring yourself to spend an extra $70 for the genuine thing than you have no business giving people advice. You bought a kit with ballasts falsely labeled as Hellas. Ask yourself how reputable they are, how long they'll last, and who you'll blame if things go wrong.

two - I've been running my kit for nearly 4 years, and I've been enjoying bi-xenons before HIDs were even an option on most cars. That's a small price to pay for many years of problem free lighting with a DOT approved system, so if you think you'll hurt my feelings with your ridicule than you're sadly mistaken.

three - I never forced a single person to spend $1000 on lighting. I tried many different systems, I have friends that retrofit headlights, and I tried to help people make the best decision for the least amount of money. You bought one $80 HID kit and suddenly you're an expert.

I have a track record of doing things the wrong way? You don't even know me you dumbass and you think that I "have a track record of doing things the wrong way". Wow, you're truly a moron. What an idiotic thing to say about someone you don't know from Adam. And the fact that you think you know what's best for me when it comes to what I do to my jeep is just more evidence that you're a pretentious little bitch. You must have really gotten your feelings hurt when I said that $500 is too much to spend on headlights. Get some tissues and get over it.
