Gun report: XD45 Tactical

Its a Springfield Armory XD 45acp with 5" barrel and stainless slide. I've had it for about 2 weeks now. It's a thing of beauty, I love it. I have put about 300 rounds down the pipe so far without a hickup. The grip is a little bigger than the .40/9mm, but I have kinda big hands and I think it's perfect. I even took the gf shooting so it's not too big for small hands, she got a bullseye her first shot! And she's never shot a gun before! Its easy to shoot, and in my opinion is a beautiful gun. The flame that comes out the end is cool too . It came with 2, 13 round mags, gun holster, magazine holster, mag loader, cable lock and a cleaning brush. I did a lot of research, and in the end I'm very happy with my purchase. Future plans include night sights and a smallish rail mount laser. Any recommendations on lasers?

Hers was the center target. Pretty dang good for her first time if you ask me. It was about 7 yards away, although it looks closer.

ive got an XD9 sub-compact and love it. next will be an XD .45 and after that an XDM .40

how much did you pay for it?

Oddly enough I'll be picking one up next week, Tactical .45 black on black. It was super hard to find in the area.

yeah i got mine from buds gun shop, it was on there one day, then the next it was gone. i think they are getting hard to find in general. I got it from buds for $565 or so, then paid $40 for the transfer.

I have an XDM .40 and my fiance has as XD .45 with the tritium night sights. If you want a good flashlight/laser combo, go with the Streamlight TLR-2

beautiful gun tho man, good luck with it. I will be looking for another pistol in the soon future. I have a kahr k40 looking to go with something with a little more commong round maybe a 9mm or something.

Got mine a couple years ago. .45ACP. Shoots pretty good. No hiccups with it at all. My 1911 jams all the time, but not this one

The xml light fits it perfectly too.

Down near the bottom there is the link for the catalog, lots of options on these guns. Should be interesting to see what the XD 45 M brings to the table, no details on it yet but it supposedly will exist.
