If you own a gun....

Yup, my safe the same way. The pistols are also in locked cases.

This gives me immense piece of mind. It keeps them locked up where I know exactly where they all are.

We have Nieces and Nephews over, and they love to find every nook and cranny, just like when I was a kid. I don't need them playing with a weapon, even if they are unloaded, because that can be easily corrected before any Adult is aware of the situation.

My son is 3 days old. Next big purchase or Christmas gift is gonna be a gun safe. Until this point I've kept them all loaded. My wife and I are both concealed permit holders, so I trusted her and she me. However with a little guy and two nieces that are about 9 months. Time to lock em up until I can teach my boy. Guess I'll have to teach the neices and nephews too because their parents won't. I like the watermelon idea.

gone postal don't know how old your children ,, But even with how responsible they are there is a child acces law,the guns are reguired to be locked , if you just gotta have one handy for protection get a combination trigger lock .

some laws are stupid -- I can just picture the burgler waiting for you to master your combination lock in the dark... practice civil disobedience to stupid law.

Or a key lock but better than your kid messing aroun and shooting his self or a friend , and you spending time in the slammer with bubba , But there is a bunch of stupid laws

guns? I don't have guns, they are too dangerous. cut em all up for scrap metal.:eyes:

I completely disagree! However, considering the area where you live and the number of progressive minded liberal idots that reside there I would expect exactly this sort of short minded comment. But then again you probably never needed or wanted to learn anything outside of the box anyway. Just do me one favor and stay there in your perfect little world.

Given the legal environment out here, I can totally understand. All of my firearms are in Indiana, the firing pins and barrels are here...

Sorry I guess I should have avoided posting right after reading what our self appointed king is trying to pass with the UN. If you want to get your blood boiling, read about the UN arm’s treaty and what it will do to our constitutional right to keep and bear arms. MY bad at any rate, and I'll accept the nomination.

Thanks for the post Frank. Sad this happened to any kid. I love my guns, but never more than my own kids. I keep them locked.

I keep the kids locked up of course. : ) It is to dangerous to have them running around with all the guns.
