Hi guys, Im a XJ guy from Florida. I have been on here for a long time, a few of us from down here want to plan a trip to gulches ohv park around the end of October early November. Do you guys know much about Gulches? How is it? Its under ten hours drive from us. I wish there was an event around this time but I can't seem to find one.

Is there any of you guys that can show us around here on our trip?

Thanks in advanced, Dan

I should be able to show you all over the place. I live 15 miles from Gulches.

It's small but fun. There's stuff for 31s and stuff for 40's.

With that kind of notice I should be able to hook ya'll up. Keep in touch.

I'll reserve my comment.... I'll try and keep this on the burner. On the weekend of Oct 1st I'll be back in Vero Beach, Fl though.

This is the last time I went.

It is decent. Small but decent. Never had a club that I knew of when I was down there. My parents still live there though.

gulches is a blast, some seriously hardcore trails there, I didn't notice much for the smaller guys but I wasn't really paying attention to anything but what was infront of us.

Anyone who is scared of a little mud won't like the place though, some of the trails are gulleys, they collect water, you do the math. A buddy of mine refuses to go back because his jeep got dirty :(

@Lowrange, we came down that rock ledge at about 1 am with 2 guys in buggies, landed on the nose of the YJ, romped the gas and saved it but scary as hell lol, went up it multiple times though, badass little climb.

FLorida is nothing but mud and sand. Most guys that start out wheleing in FLorida love mud. I use ot love mud till I started having to deal with it after the fact.

@ crystalcleanteam if you have never wheeled anything but Florida it will be intresting to say the least. Can you give us a rundown on how you guys are equiped?

Yeah, I still like the mud, and we go on occasion to the local mud pits, but its more about getting together and throwing back a few beers than anything.

+1 about only having wheeled florida, I rode along to Callahantee with a rep for Southern to meet an older couple from Florida who own a 4x4 Park down there, they were blown away by the trails at Callahantee and had never seen anything like it.

I'm originally from Las Vegas and my parents still live out there. But I moved to FL when I was 13 so all my offroad experience is from here. I have been offroad out west a few times I would see my parents..

You would be surprised the hardcore built jeeps driving around here in FL not just for mud but rocks??? Shocking when we have none.

My Jeep is a 2001 XJ Hp 44 front and 44 rear Chromo shafts and Locked With 37 Iroks
I built it planning to go on trips like this a few times a year.

The date where kinda looking at is either Halloween or 1st week of November.. Also we may hit Beasley Knob on the way then head over to Gulches.

Yea I know. Rambo on here use to come to the Crawl every year when it was in Tellico. he lived in Miami. :D Great guy. We had another guy in Clearwater that came for a few years too. Beasly knob might be more interesting then Gulches BC it has more mileage of trails. However it would not be that challenging from what I hear.

What do you guys know about windrock/coal creek Fall festival? Is that area any good?

Also whats the weather typically like around Halloween?

Windrock is awsome from what I have bene told. They also like their park. $17 per day per person. SO for me to go with my twins its 51 per day.

Anybody wanna join a trip gulches and beasley knob October 27th thru the 31st???

There is a NAXJA event usually in late Oct. early Nov. that is called the Flog. Not sure where it will be this year.
