Grease Reviews

I was online looking for grease reviews and couldn't find any. I know this seems really anal but if I'm going to the trouble,.... and the bigger part of the job is labor,..... and its only a few dollars difference between one grease cartridge and another, why not use the best or at least something really good. I'd at least like to have the knowledge that I'm not injecting something that is beneath normal standards. Anyone know where I can find some objective reviews? I don't necessarily subscribe to the notion that just because its Redline or Royal Purple its better because they cost more,...although those products may very well be. Thanks in advance.

Lucas Oil Red-n-Tacky. I like anything thats tacky!

Being a whore for Castrol, I recently started using their Pyroplex Blue for general lubrication on my XJ... Haven't heard anything bad about it, but then again, I haven't heard much of anything about it at all.

Is it decent stuff?

I use red n tacky from whatever company is stocked at the store I'm in when I remember I need it.

If I don't have any on hand and I need to limp along anything goes though, I've used green, blue, black, whatever I managed to squeeze out of the slip joint on a stock front shaft, and in one case quieted down some really gross axle joints with wd-40 for a few days till I had time to replace them...
