Hint the![]()
Does Chris make a version that is extended for 2-door? I mean obviously you didnt get them but I am just curious
That turned out to work/fit on there pretty nicely!
Got a profile shot?
I assume you guys had to re-work the way it mounted from TJ to XJ right? Some cutting/fabbing/welding?
yeah i ended up cutting part of the bumper so that it would sit fairly flush with the rear lower 1/4's and as far as mounting i cut the stock bumper mounts to about 2 inches tall and welded them to the flat plate mount that was already on the bumper, how it is right now it can support my weight pluss my brothers when we jump up and down on it.
I'll have some more detailed pic's up tomorrow morning.
Do you think its a solid recovery point?
The green looks good just woundering how the pic dates are 2003??
Hmmmm, yeah using a 110V welder for anything heavy and/or thick, you REALLY gotta know what you're doing. Generally using all the heat it'll give ya and going nice and slow. You really need to prep the surfaces and bevel the edges of the joints so the weld gets in deep.
But hey, enough with the "welding lesson"....You got your project done, just don't forget how it's welded and don't pull on it.
