got my exhaust on today

bought a dynomax super turbo exhaust for my jeep. sounds nice not to obnoxious like a flowmaster 40 series. It has a nice mellow tone to it. Now just need tow hooks and to get my hitch on and she is done for a while:laugh:

Sweet, that's the one I was looking at getting, and I did NOT want something loud, just mellow...

thats a good one then. It comes with a flange and like 5 clamps. I had a buddy that manages the local midas put my exhaust on. He used the torch and a BFH so if you have those it is an easy job to install. Got mine from summit racing for 140 plus they have free shipping all you pay is the handling fee of 11.75

I was sad when i got mine on my '01 i thought it was too quiet, but since i removed the precats it sound way better, and summit up there handling fee? I thought it used to be $10

Any performance gains? Feel any different? I love quiet, after having loud exhaust on my last couple vehicles, I'm looking forward to having nice quiet exhaust!

not much different i dropped in a K&N filter too and did new plugs wires and cap and rotor the day before. Thats probably what gave it more power. I hope it helps with my mpg's too.

Looks like I'm going with a Borla system. I was at a friends shop today, and he had an entire exhaust system just leaning against the wall. Front pipe, cat, Borla muffler, and tailpipe (cat back system). He said 100 bucks for all of it... Can't beat that. Just pull out the old stuff and install the new (used). It's only a year old and appears to be in really good shape. So, Borla it is! Hope it's quiet...

Doubt that borla is going to be too quiet. I have a buddy with a borla.. Says he noticed an increase in performance.. I noticed a huge increase in sound.. Deep throaty sound. It was cool but not my taste.. I like quiet personally.

nothing wrong with the stock muffler, hell the one on my MJ has taken some nice dents and is still quiet.

Yep. That's why I went with a stock-like turbo muffler. I had a knockoff Flowmaster on my old XJ and hated it on the trail.
