I ended up here because of similar issues.
Immobilzer wouldnt mobilze.
Fix was, RKE and fob pair from the same spec XJ.
Plug and play.
Recievers are no longer made.

sorta... Once the security option is activated in the PCM it cannot be un-done.

you might clip and tape off the CCD bus wires from the RKE so it cant talk to a new PCM... shouldn't disable the RKE portion as that is hard wired to the door lock module.

Excuse me, I don't understand the US language very well, should you simply tape the wires so that they don't touch each other, or should you connect them together with a link? so that they can be in contact?
