got a fix it ticket today...

I will sit here and chuckle at this. Our police could care less what you have done to your vehicle unless its a giant truck. THen they bitch about bumper height and other than 2 counties we don't have emissions tests either. SOmetimes I wish we had safety inspections though. There is some Janky crap driving down the road here.

I guess the worse response would be "because you wanted my number?"

Fix it tickets are NOT without civil penalty. There may not be a fine but look at the small print that states something like include $25 check or MO for adminstrative processing fee. I couldn't register my Jeep because a couple of year prior I hadn't paid the administration fee.
 
Yep $25 is what my mud flap ticket cost me.
 
all i have to do is get it signed off...not sure how it is in different counties but my windshield ticket was a sign off also.

oh and i got pulled over on Sunset @ Fair Oaks blvd in Sacramento county...not many guys on here live in my area..but yeh theres the heads up lol
 
Yeah that's a busy area. So many cops out there, for sure dude...

You can also go the fender flare route. I don't think you need flaps if the tread is covered, unless there is some other rule about the amount exposed due to lift.

he was trippin on the rear...pretty much all my tire is exposed...i can see where its a problem. i can picture someone catching me in traffic claiming i tossed a rock at there window or something.
 
My two fix it tix were for the same thing. No front license plate (different Jeeps), apparently sitting on the dash is not good enough.

Double check the fee, both of mine were in San "We Cheat Tourist and Drunks" Francisco County, but the fee I thought went to DMV. The sting on the 1st one was a jump from $25 to $100.

After some of the things I have been called, "Dick" is about a 2 on the insult scale. I usually snicker and walk away saying "they just called me a penis"

lol.. never had a dick cop pull me over really... well when i was like 14 i got picked up for curfew, the cop was a dick..but i was a punk kid to him of course lol.

While the lift is definitely contributing to the problem, I think what probably caught the CHP's attention was the comp cut corners. Anyone with even a mild lift has more than 50% of the tire showing from the rear, but with those cut corners, almost the whole tire is showing...

bingo bango... there not "comp cut"...maybe "baby comp cut" lol
 
After stay'in up all night thinking about what a great idea this was, I started to re-think it. I think the word "The" needs to be removed, we are not just friends with one LEO but all of them.

The price jump to because of the $75 in penalties for NOT paying the original $25 in a timely fashion.
