You can get replacement Nano for free from Apple:

Just needs to be a first gen and you need to have the serial number!

6 weeks for delivery?! Seeing as mine is left in the XJ 24/7 and only used when I drive might not be too bad to get a free upgraded unit.

Awesome, mine has been out of commission for some time. Motherboard failure. Maybe they will give me a new one regardless. :woohoo:
