Been troubleshooting a no start jeep for about 3 weeks now with no luck. i'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get it to a mechanic now. anyone know of one near the mullica hill area?

replaced crank, cpu, asd relay, spark plugs, checked grounds, has spark and fuel, has an unreadable check engine light or it says there is no problem, electric fan, fuel pump, and asd relay will click on and off when the key is in the on position. i've been trouble shooting for weeks now and its gonna end up costing me more to fix myself soon than taking it to a mechanic

What year XJ is it? Does it TRY to start? Make sure the temp sensor is hooked up/wiring is good on the front right side of the head. I had someone tell me once that my 96 XJ wouldn't start if it that temp sensor was unplugged. I didn't believe him and tried it.... sure enough, it wouldn't start. Also, have you tried starting it in Neutral?

If it is an earlier model XJ (87-90) there are some other things for you to check....

I would believe its a 99 XJ where he was just looking for a 99' comp. in the FS section. As far as the temp sensor on my 00' it starts but just constantly runs the elec. fan if unplugged. If it cranking and you know you have fuel pressure at the rail you could try taking a reading from the fuel injectors while someone turns the motor over to make sure their working. As far as spark where didyou check it? I'd make sure it was coming out of each spark plug wire.

just checked one of the wires with a plug grounded to the block. nothing is unplugged as far as i can tell. the jeep ran and two hours later it just wouldn't start. it's trying and sounds like it wants to, it just wont. how do i get a reading off the injectors?
