He is 11 years old and on his way, I really wish I had gotten Vid of him the first time
he spent about 3-4 hours practicing just driving the jeep up in the field at the campground the day before, he had never driven the jeep before this

I was really stocked that he was willing to try, been sitting here all morning going over ideas on how to make a backrest that I can throw in real easy for when he wants to drive so that I can buckle him in safely, The rock garden there was not a problem because there is no way to roll in it so I was not concerned there, but no way would I let him try something that there would be any posibility of rolling until I work out the seat and harness stuff. I was really impressed in how well he listened to exactly what I told him to do when I was spotting him through the whole thing the first time. He will do really well at this with some more practice,

There was alot of pics taken over the weekend but these are the ones that mean the most to me this trip

Thats great I am glad to see people getting the youngn's involved early!

yeah, it was worth the whole trip just for that, everyone keeps telling me I should have gone to big dogs but this was by far more fun for me

Starting the process to get the jeep set up so I can swap seats in and out for when he wants to drive and a 5 point harness for him also. I will make his seat so it mounts in 2 positions, one forward for when he drives and one further back for when he is on the passenger side. This is gonna be a fun project for me

Well, I will have to get my boys started in the driving of the XJ, they are 11 and 10.

I wish my dad was into wheeling...that way I wouldn't have had to drop all my paychecks into my rig, I would have assistance. :)

He allready has a built jeep, he keeps telling me that it is his buggy when I die. So I might as well make sure he knows how to drive it before then LOL
