I know, I know! Its way too early to start this!(maybe) Lets use this thread to keep track of donations of raffle items for '08 Geostash.

So what is the process we follow to acquire these raffle items, anyway? Do we have set vendors that we contact any time we have a national activity, or do we just contact any local business that we feel may be interested in sponsoring?

Since this is a local issue with our money going to local causes we should try and get as many local vendors as possible. If you do it solely through local vendors you don't have to give national their 15% of the proceeds either.

Some of these vendors will require a request on letterhead. Dave sent me one for last year, but it is on my home computer.

i know.. i'm not BOD, but since i'm here. i don't think it's too soon to start asking vendors. get me a letter head and i'll see what i can come up with here. we also need some flyers if possable. i'm already starting to round up local people from here. let me know what i can help with. as with last year i've got the location for the camp, and dinner lined up.

ok..i'll go back to where i'm supposed to be now.
