Gears are in, but axle's a bit leaky...

I got 4.56's installed recently, and now have a bit of fluid leaking from the driver side axle tube. It's a HP D30 disconnect. Question is, do I have to pull both sides to replace the seal, or can I just pull the driver side shaft and replace that seal?

sorry I don't have an answer for you. I have a HP Dana 30 with vacuum disconnect, did you have to get a different carrier for 4.56's? Someone told me the carrier had to be changed if I bought 4.56's gears and I want to run those.

You have to pull the shaft plus the carrier!

Dana 30 carrier split is 3.55 and numerically lower, 3.73 and numerically higher

Damn I have 3.55 gears so I guess I can't just buy 4.56's and swap them in. SHIT! Excuse my language.
