Gear clinic!

At times I was doing 2 jeeps every weekend. I've done a few 5 axle weekends. but I averaged a jeep a week for a while. The tools I bought paid for themselves pretty quickly. the case spreader in my book is a must for dana 44's and up. But the clamshell bearing pullers make very quick work of getting bearings off safely. There is alot of people that can install gears, some good, some shitty. I will gladly offer my help if I can. I've even let a few guys "learn" how to do there own gears at my place. They do all the work, I sit and drink a beer and point, explain and instruct. Come to think of it, Last time I did that, I spent most of my time brewing beer...

not making any promisses. but I might even be so inclined as to bring a Keg of something.... whatever is left because I can't stop drinking it all...

I've never met anyone here before, if its cool I'd love to come. Can't afford gears yet, but itd be nice to learn a thing or two from some knowledgeable vets. I would also be more than happy to bring some brew or whatever is needed.

Depending on the date, I'm up for learning something that I typically consider "black magic". Let us know on the dates. I'm in for throwing some cash for pizzas.

O.K. my parts came yesterday so it's time to set a date. The two options are June 30th or July 7th. Hows about start at 10AM? I plan to have it all taken apart and the parts cleaned so that it doesn't take too long to go through the installation process. That way we will have plenty of time for BBQ and beer! Everyone post up what stuff you want to bring so we don't have too much of one thing and not enough of other stuff. I suggest steaks and taters on the grill but I'll leave it up to you all to decide. I'll provide the grill and an expert grillologist (me) :)

I just noticed that Lilian's thing is June 30th so I'm leaning heavily toward July 7th.

The wifes B/Day is the 30th, so the 7th would work the best from this end. We also raise our own meat, how about some port or goat for the BBQ ?

I'll be in Vegas the weekend of the 30th so the 7th sounds better for me. YMMV

how far is temecula from LA?
Depending on where you are coming from and how you get here it's anywhere from an hour to 8 hours! Usually the 74 is not bad during the middle of the day. The 91 might not ba bad on Saturday. You could take the 10. Lemme know where you are coming from and I can tell you the best way to get here.

torrance. i live between the 405 and the 91. the 91w deadends about 2 miles from my apt, and the 405 passes by right up the street.
