GDI 3 Core radiator

I bought a 3-core from http://www.radiatorbarn.com and it's really very good. Nothing fancy ... just well made and solid. Works great.

I was looking at that one. I was afraid that it was just another GDI.

I must've gotten lucky...

I bought a GDI about 5-6 years ago...

With the exception of an initial small leak from the cheap plastic drain plug...

It's worked fine on hot Chicago summer days in 2 hour stop and go traffic jams...

I've heard good things about the CSF rads sold at http://www.dpgoffroad.com/

He's got them on sale for $155

Just replaced my GDI with a 2 row CSF. I can't say the GDI was clogged because this was the true culprit.

Ran it for 20 min. in the garage and it was sitting at 180 or under the whole time. With the air on, but I will add the disclaimer that I also am not running a CAT or muffler for the moment.

Also the CSF is thicker than my GDI even though it only has two rows.

That's what you get for running that pre-rusted water as coolant.

I bought a 2 row a year and a half ago form radiatorbarn.com, not sure of brand...no probs. you can get a 3 row for $124.77 delivered, usually within 24 hours.
