How many from here are interested in taking a florida ltc class?

Location and date ytbd, but figure aug sept within 2 hrs from chicago?

Costs subject to determination of establishing what we could have provided....such as range facilities and such

Serious inquiries only please

Just curious, what does this do for the people taking this class. Its a non-issue for me since Florida accepts Indiana's LTCH but i was just curious.

Great question

By my count using hangunlaw.us as my source, adding a FL rtc permit to your credentials will grant you rtc in 9 additional states. This may be or may not be important to you:

Wa, nm, ne, ks, oh, wv, va, sc, de

State laws change constantly

So i cant determine the validity of this information currently, but it should be mostly accurate.

Also, consider the fact...since fl requires fingerprinting, classroom and live-fire, obtaining a florida rtc permit would make you eligible for other OOS permits

I currently hold 8 rtc permits

Hope this helps

I realize ive been absent from this place for a spell.

Some here know me, others dont know me from a pile of dana 35's

For those who do.....in casevyou haven't come to the conclusion yet on what i am implying by putting out this "feeler".....

Yes, i'd be the one teaching the course and certifying you for your Fl rtc.

Ah so this would allow me to carry in Ohio(and 8 other states), nice. I may be interested dependng on fees and such. Things may get a little tight the rest of the year for me.

Heres the thing:

Most of the interested individuals will respond that their participation is conditional to the fee structure

And for now, the fee will be contingent upon both tje measure of the participation level and the costs we can control as a group

There will be a huge difference if we can secure a private range

There will be a consideration for participants taking responsibility for providing personal materials such as eyes and ears, gunsnd ammo

Course materials and my costs are considered as well

NO instructor i know has ever taken responsibility for the individual state application fees. Some provide fingerprinting. Take those into consideration

This is just a feeler

Just think of it rev....you can legally marry a couple....and i can legally allow them to carry firearms in roughly 31 states

We could rule the world......

I can carry in 50 states.

I'd offer to help but I am not trained as an instructor, just a working peon.

mac 'trump card' gyvr

I will pay my application fees no problem, I can provide my own pistol and ammo. Its just a matter of how much everything costs total. I'm getting ready to buy a house so who knows, i may not wheel again til WF! Thats my money issue. If i weren't gonna buy a house this would be a no brainer. If you get enough interest to where to hammer out what it will cost and so on i may or may not be able to do iit. I'll follow this thread until then!

Pig Gig CCW class??

I am definitely interested. Biggest thing for me would be time and location.

for those that already have a CHL you can look into the PA one as well.

when I fnaly get around to sending them my $25 and a copy of my OH CHL they will send me a card and I can carry in PA and all of the reciprocal states as well.

I thought of the Pig Gig also, as it usually sees many of the MWC gun enthusiasts, and many camp also. Maybe do 2/3 of the class while the pig's roasting, and the rest the next morning?

PA recently changed their laws...You used to be able to send your info and payment to the excellent Cheif of Police, Danny Nau, and you'd have your permit in a week.

Currently, you must make a trip to PA and apply in-person.

If my information is correct, this also applies to renewals!

lame.

Utah has also changed laws.....for you Indiana boys, in order to get a utah, you MUST FIRST acquire a LTC for your home state. That is a prerequisite.

Utah has accomdated the fact that Illinois currently does not have a LTC, so for now, Illinois residents may still apply for a UTAH LTC anywhere the class is offered by a UTAH certified instructor.

a little fun fact for ya.

Wisconsin is supposed to have LTC legislation passed and signed as early as this week, but will probably be within two weeks!

that leaves the liberal shithole we call Illinois as the ONLY state without RTC.

We WILL get RTC in this state, hopefully by next year.

your voice will help
