Stay clear from Ebay seller, performanceefi, out of Winter Park FL.
This guy knows nothing about EFI and makes false claims on interchangeability and performance ratings of fuel injectors. He even claims that the manufacture and DR Injector are wrong or their test equipment was not set up correctly.
He also claims all his injectors are flow tested, electrically, and matched, but will not provide a test sheet to validate that claim.
My recent purchase from him has been painful. I purchased 8 Ford/ Bosch EV1, 19# injectors from a 5.0L 1995 Mustang, for my 1993 Cherokee. I gave him my engine specs including all mods done to the engine, ignition, 62mm throttle body, and intake.
I challenged him that the stock injectors for my ride were 23# @ 39.5 psi, 238cc injectors and that these 19# units are only flow rated at 221cc from Bosch. He claims that you cannot always trust the data from Bosch but I should trust him.
Since he refused to provide a flow test sheet, after receiving my injectors, I took them down to my local Dr Injector shop where they were tested. They flowed right as Bosch said they would, and 2 of the 8 were flowing 30% less than the others at idle and 10% less at WOT? And the good ones were not even close in flowing to the stock Jeep ones that have been in my rig since it rolled off the assembly line.
So much for claiming these were a matched set. This translated to the engine running dangerously lean. So much that you can burn your exhaust valves and damage your pistons. If anyone try’s to tell you that a LOWER flowing injectors can do the same/better job than your stock flow rate, needs to be drawn and quartered between the bumpers of your XJ’s
However, these would work for a 1990 or older Renix Cherokee that the fuel pressure regulator is in the tank with the fuel pump. Which I will sell for what I have invested into them, $120.00
This guy then said he would refund my money, then change his mind, then change his mind about changing his mind>>>>> To quote Ricky Ricardo, “I Yi Yi, someone has some spanins to do”
Just save yourself some grief. Don’t buy anything from this guy. He will give you the run around and you will waste your time, money, and possibly damage you engine. He has not received any decent reviews on a few other car forums, BMW, Neon, Mustang….
You can get great information on many Cherokee forum’s or consult your local Dr Injector shop before attempting an injector upgrade.
I had to buy new ones from Accel at $285.00
Bottom line. Don’t Do Business With Performanceefi, out of Winter Park FL

Yeah, I got a set of mustang injectors and one was dead from the get go, second one died within the hour. He couldn't care less.

Yeah don't trust Bosch they don't know anything........ sounds like a guy to stay away from!

I know this is an old post but...Wish I had seen this post earlier. I ordered a set of this guys (performanceefi) injectors off ebay.for my 91 and he sent me the ford 0280155700 injectors as an upgrade and is telling me my info is incorrect and his is correct even when I gave him ausjeeps website info.He tells me that the 703 injectors are only an upgrade for 95+ vehicles and the ford 19lbs is for my 91-95 HO and renix. He will not give me a refund but said if I want the 703 injectors that he will swap me if I pay shipping and the price difference. Does anyone know if I can just file a paypal refund for item not as described? Or am I out the $100?

I read some before but didnt search much, found a link to ausjeeps site and went from there. Not until I got mine did I look further and find the bad review for this guy, but he did have good feedback.Thats what I get for buying off ebay right? If you want something done right do it yourself I guess.

I'll take a slightly contrarian view as a mostly eBay seller.
I read his feedback and return policy. (shown below)
Did you ask nicely about compatibility, or decide after they were received that there might be something "better"?

I personally go out of my way to help customers that have legitimate questions or problems. I refund money if I made a mistake. I might even tell the customer to keep or toss the item if it doesn't pay to send it back.

BUT, if someone if being too much of a pain I can insist that the "rules" are followed to the letter.

If you don't think they will work, see if he will take them back and offer to pay return shipping. If you used them for 6 months and they work fine, you might just live with them.

One more thing;
"File a PayPal claim as item not described. 99.9999% PayPal will side with the buyer. "
Yes at first the "customer is always right" policy is enforced and can be unfair to honest sellers. But with proper documentation we sellers may just get our money back if it can be proved the buyer lied about the transaction or didn't work within our return guidelines.

End OPINION, back to work,
Mike

=============
Return policy: "The injectors we sell are OEM name brand injectors, simply off of newer vehicles. The specifications are 100% compatible or identical to the original equipment on your vehicle. We are 100% confident in this and if for any reason we make a mistake, we will either give you the correct set for free, or, if it is not available, we will grant a full refund of the purchase price, original shipping charges, AND YOUR RETURN SHIPPING!i"

They have not been installed, he gave no indication as to what injectors they were just that they were 4 hole upgrades for 87-95 cherokee 4.0. I had read before purchasing that I needed the 703 and didnt ask what number his were. He gave me the 700's which I believe will cause a lean condition. So he DID sell me injectors that might work but might NOT work at the same time. Seeing as how they WILL cause a lean condition at WOT due to lack of fuel flow or volume they are NOT 99.999% correct for the application. In other words this guy knows what might work not whats guaranteed to work correctly. I was nice, as nice as typing can be at least. No caps or !'s. I was obviously nieve in thinking someone off ebay might actually know what they are selling to someone. These injectors are only an upgrade to RENIX fuel systems not 91+ HO. As his compatability chart said thru 95 4.0 they should have been the neon 703 injectors not the ford 700 19lbs injectors that cause a lean condition on the newer Fi setups. So according to paypal I can get my refund because I am right as these are NOT 99.9% correct for my application like his auction stated.

The seller is a rude A**.Thinks all jeeps to 95 use 19lb/hr injectors and his flowbench doesnt lie even though he gives NO flow bench numbers.Doesnt care what anyone else says about injectors, even if you can prove him wrong.

The numbers are legible on the injectors in the pictures, so what you got, is what is in the listing. Yeah, he might be making bogus claims, but at the same time, you didn't do your research thoroughly, assumed someone else did, and are now unhappy with your purchase.

Doing your research isn't just an ebay thing; it's a necessity if you're dealing with swapped and modified parts. You can't assume the other guy knows everything simply because he sells parts.

I don't think you've got a leg to stand on with a claim, but who knows. Of course, you could always resell them and chalk this up as a learning experience, if the claim process doesn't work in your favor. Good luck either way.

However, these would work for a 1990 or older Renix Cherokee that the fuel pressure regulator is in the tank with the fuel pump.

renii have a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail, just like H.O.'s. its a differant rail due to feed/exit locations. the later models have a returnless system of the regulator in the tank...

Your just as bad as the ebay seller!... trying to sell shit that wont work for what you say it will...

LUCKILY, i can see thru your lies, because i know better, and I HAVE done my research.

Before you take it to PayPal you might call him on his guarantee and see if he'll take them back since they weren't installed, offer to pay shipping if he says anything.

Carefully reading his description I do see a couple of contradictions. He doesn't disassemble the injectors, but he does replace the internal filters . . .
There's no mention of an actual flow meter being used for comparison, just that they are matched.

Send all correspondence through eBay and keep copies with dates and time.
If you send them back use Priority Small F.R.P.B. w/tracking.
