Stay clear from Ebay seller, performanceefi, out of Winter Park FL.
This guy knows nothing about EFI and makes false claims on interchangeability and performance ratings of fuel injectors. He even claims that the manufacture and DR Injector are wrong or their test equipment was not set up correctly.
He also claims all his injectors are flow tested, electrically, and matched, but will not provide a test sheet to validate that claim.
My recent purchase from him has been painful. I purchased 8 Ford/ Bosch EV1, 19# injectors from a 5.0L 1995 Mustang, for my 1993 Cherokee. I gave him my engine specs including all mods done to the engine, ignition, 62mm throttle body, and intake.
I challenged him that the stock injectors for my ride were 23# @ 39.5 psi, 238cc injectors and that these 19# units are only flow rated at 221cc from Bosch. He claims that you cannot always trust the data from Bosch but I should trust him.
Since he refused to provide a flow test sheet, after receiving my injectors, I took them down to my local Dr Injector shop where they were tested. They flowed right as Bosch said they would, and 2 of the 8 were flowing 30% less than the others at idle and 10% less at WOT? And the good ones were not even close in flowing to the stock Jeep ones that have been in my rig since it rolled off the assembly line.
So much for claiming these were a matched set. This translated to the engine running dangerously lean. So much that you can burn your exhaust valves and damage your pistons. If anyone try’s to tell you that a LOWER flowing injectors can do the same/better job than your stock flow rate, needs to be drawn and quartered between the bumpers of your XJ’s
However, these would work for a 1990 or older Renix Cherokee that the fuel pressure regulator is in the tank with the fuel pump. Which I will sell for what I have invested into them, $120.00
This guy then said he would refund my money, then change his mind, then change his mind about changing his mind>>>>> To quote Ricky Ricardo, “I Yi Yi, someone has some spanins to do”
Just save yourself some grief. Don’t buy anything from this guy. He will give you the run around and you will waste your time, money, and possibly damage you engine. He has not received any decent reviews on a few other car forums, BMW, Neon, Mustang….
You can get great information on many Cherokee forum’s or consult your local Dr Injector shop before attempting an injector upgrade.
I had to buy new ones from Accel at $285.00
Bottom line. Don’t Do Business With Performanceefi, out of Winter Park FL
