It was a good trip. There was a several other vehicles out there. The only damage was I lost my muffler (it was rusted out anyway). My friend did pretty well with his land cruiser. With some careful tire placement he was able to get his non locked Toyota through quite a bit of the fun stuff.
When we got to the top for lunch there was quite a few people there including several H1's :puke:
One guy who owned some stero shop in Fresno thought he would be cool and drive close to the edge of the cliff. But his underbody cameras, LCD screens, custom interior, more flashing lights than the highway patrol couldn't compensate for his incredible stupidity. He obviously didn't understand the fundamental faults of independant suspensions. He got a little tippy and it took about 4 guys to hold the corner of his hummer down and keep it from falling down the cliff. We finally coaxed him to let us hook up a winch to it. So my friend got his LC and we hooked it up and then we pulled him down to the ground while he backed up. After we disconnected him he drove over to his other H1 buddies :puke:
Later he made a fairly large effort to drive quite a ways around us when he left the top to go back to his stereo store. The guy never even said thanks :rattle: He had a little piece of humble pie. :looser:

We secured the LC to a large tree. I am not too sure how far the cliff is but it wouldn't have been pretty.

Ya never know, since they saved that H1's drivers ass, he might return the favor one day. better that they saved him, and spent the time, even though he was ungrateful, rather than watch him tumble down the hill and kill himself, or anyone else at the bottom. You know, the whole good samartin thing. besides, it gives the NAXJA people a good rep as being helpful. Just my opinion. We've done the same out here, helped people out, even when they were ungrateful and really didnt deserve it, but it all comes out in the end.

I'm all for helping the guy, but not putting myself at risk for an idiot. Since they were able to tie off then good job!!

great shot of shaver lake!!! and yes it was good to help him...we don't need any other reasons for the rangers to close the trail. [can't wait to get up there] nice to see clean air..

Hey Zion, I'll print your pictures. So that when I see this H2 again I'll past them all over his front windshield to remind him not to be so ungrateful. :D

I'm Glad you two had fun! Sorry I missed it, looks like you picked a perfect day to go. Since it rained on Friday, you got so ver clear and claen air.

Well, Terrie and I spent our time here painting and moving out the clutter. I pray the maddness will be over soon and we will be in our new home soon!

Well you know how snobbish the H1 drivers can be. The other H1 drivers were actually pretty embarresed about him. So embarresed that they didn't help him out. There definately isn't any love :smootch:
