Full Width Dana 44

I have a dana 44 hp out of a 79 F250. I will know monday if a local guy wants it or not. The axle is located in Athens, AL 35613. This is a 3/4 ton axle, 8 lug . This axle is complete calipers, rotors, steering, etc. I need 550.00 for this axle but would settle for 500.00 . Shipping is up to the buyer. I will meet up to 100 miles away for fuel there and back. Again depends on if the guy buys it Monday or not, just feeling to see if anyone on here is interested.

Wow, if that is the going rate for a stock full width 44, I need to sell the three I have and build a 60.

Is it rebuilt?? What kind of shape??

It is stock and in good shape. Around here they are hard to come by, not as bad as the 60. But Offroad connection sells them for 500-650. it is complete, and in good shape. Steering links and all.

The few I have came from norhtern trucks I suppose, definantly need a rebuild, backing plates are rusted off, calipers of course locked, but otherwise solid.

Youre runnin a full width under yours in your avatar correct?

Yes it is the same axle as mine but it is HP. Like I said I will not know anything for sure on it till monday. I have seen some good deals on some dana 60 axles from up north, but I guess the salt has broke them down over the years, they was going to need a lot of work and money. This one is solid, I will take some pictures for everyone.

I picked mine up for $200. Actually I got a HP44 and Full float 60 Rear Out of a '78 F250 for $300.

must be nice, i called about 30 junk yards trying to find a dana 60 and a 44 front. rear axles are easy and cheap to come by.
