Full bodied MJ on 42.5 boggers

That is pretty slick, hope it works well. I don't see why it won't, but there has to be a reason they coat splines on driveshaft slip fittings with that blue polymer. I just don't know what it is.

Im assuming its for wear resistance and to keep it from rattling. But the output on the 205 was never coated... I plan on installing a grease fitting in the yoke to keep the splines clean and tight.

So my front shaft worked out slick. I turned the .188 wall out to .120 thickness and pressed in the 1410 yoke. The spline end made from the np205 output shaft pressed in perfect, maybe alittle on the tight side (I had to heat the tube and beat the shaft in) but it came out great.

How is that for an upgrade? 1310 vs 1410

Rear shaft came out great, got it within .003" runout.

I cant believe how much angle Im getting out of these shafts. A fraction of the price of a high angle cv and much stronger.

Its so close to being drivable I can taste it. My air bumps will be here in a couple days so if everything goes right Ill have some action shots by Mothers day.

Sweet Rig! You need to bring that thing to the Crawl in July! One question on your boggers. Are they 16.5 Hummer rims? Are they a sticky or standard?

Size is 42.5 13.50 17. non sticky. On summit racing 17x9 steelies and copperhead fab rim stiffeners. Hopefully some day Ill have staun internal bead locks.

Ok I was wondering what they were. I run a 42 x 15 x 16.5 on H1's and would love to run a bogger in the rear. Last time I looked, over a year ago, they didn't have a 42 bogger. I'd like to go to a trepador and 17 but damn that's a lot of money!

Did some flex testing today. Found a couple small clearance issues I need to address. Overall works pretty well. Needs some bump stop tuning and I think alittle stiffer secondary coil.

Rear is maxed, front left shock has 2.5" of shock shaft showing and right front still has 3" of droop left.

Am I getting carried away?

ProFender 2.0 bumps 3" travel.

 same bumps I have in my front end. Make sure they're charged enough, they're supposed to be ready to go but I don't think mine had full pressure when I got them.

Looking good! Do you intend to leave the tie rod in the factory location or is that temporary?

I plan on leaving it in the stock location. I have 1/4 wall dom to replace the stock tie bar when I get my Hydro assist together. I have room to put the tie bar on top of the knuckle but cant get the hydro cylinder up in there.

I don't see why you couldn't. Looks like you have tons of room on the drivers side axle tube. Build a mount similar to your tracbar mount for the axle side of the ram and put tabs on your tie rod. I can't imagine that tie rod will last that long hanging that low.

I run heims on the ends of my steering so my tie rod is under my hi steer arms and my ram is mounted to my tracbar mount.

You can kinda see the ram behind the tie rod in this picture.

That makes sense. I could probably fit it up in there. Just have not put much thought into it. Also I cant run heim joints on the road so I am stuck with tie rod ends. Its 6 inches higher than my old dana 30 tie bar and I only bent that once. So I probably wont mess with it until I bend it or get bored.

I guess that's a NH thing? I run heims on the road.

Either way, truck looks awesome.

They probably still have vehicle inspections. I run rod ends. I can get them at any advanced or Oreilly's anywhere. I like that living in the South. You try and find Heims and its mail order or park it.

Mine is set up to only use two different heims. I have a couple of each as spares. I won't have to go far to find one.

Exactly. Rod ends and such are mail order up here. I try to keep all my parts oem so I can go to Orielly Auto on sunday afternoon and get back on the trail.
