Fuel Injection for '98 stroker

Ok, I have searched multiple forums, tried searching, emailed a couple companies, and havent been able to find a satisfactory answer, if I get one at all. I want to put a stroker in my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Limited this winter. Will adding bigger fuel injectors alone be enough? Will I need some type of aftermarket fuel management? What do I need to do to ensure this would run right. If it matters, later on down the road I would like to add a supercharger or turbo to it. Thanks for the help, sorry if this has been answered and I just havent found it. !!!1

Mine is all stock other than ford 24lb injectors. Its been that way for 8 years and 40,000 miles now. Runs great

Most likely yes. The Accel 24lb'ers or the Chevy LT1 24lb'ers work well on '96+ Jeeps with a mild 4.6 stroker.

Thanks for the help guys. In the Navy on deployment right now, just trying to do my research and get some advice so as soon as I get back I can pull the trigger and get started on my XJ build.

i just put a 4.7 in my 98 limited cherokee... i have 24# for injectors n a hesco unichip... it runs great n the unichip really made it come alive... pmme if you have any questions ive done alot of research on the strokers here lately

Tell us more about the unichip. I am running a low tech stroker, its got 40K on it, it starts and runs perfect no matter how cold it is, and overall has zero issues. My gut tells me its pretty lean and if so i would like to find something to correct it with, is the unichip what I need to look into? I really don't want to mess with driveability as its perfect now I just feel there is some HP laying on the table. I will likely have an invovate wideband data logger at the end of this month. I am getting it for my Barracuda but I will have a bung welded in my jeep so I can move it around if I want to.

well the unichip from hesco I mentioned... i am very pleased with... Its got 2 settings on it... one for any fuel and one for premium... I was told by hesco that they did a month of testing and programming on their chip to get it running perfect for the strokers... I know my jeep was running lean and so thats when i got the larger 24# injectors and the unichip... it seriously brought the horsepower up. I also have a unique air filter system I cut a hole in the fire wall ran 3.5 inch pipe into the fire wall then cut another hold the same size infront of the passanger windshield wiper and attached a small cone filter... I believe this helped the most and I will be insulating the air system later this week to keep the air temps nice and cool once it enters the engine by... I am also planning on some hood vents as well...

The threaded bolt sticking out the top is used for the rain cover i put over it when it rains.

I got the best results from the LT1 injectors. And when my fuel pressure was low I swapped in a pump from a V8 mustang. It hung on the stock hanger and all.

Once I get my wideband going I am going to try my LT1 injectors vs the FMS 24lb injectors. I thought it ran better with the fords but its been years since I tried the LT1s.
