I have one for an 00 XJ, will cover your 87 and any upgrades you may have that relate.

Cover is torn and some pages have greasy fingerprints

Well then why not buy a new one. Did you expect a $10 mint condition FSM.

Not at all.

But I will decide how I spend my money and to get a used one (not the problem) and to have it for a model 3 years off from mine all to save $15 is not wise in my opinion.

Just an FYI, you should always buy an FSM that is at least 1 year newer than your rig so that you are getting any and all updates that may have happened during your model year.

I will still sell ya mine, $40 + shipping

Do a search. I downloaded my 97, 99, 00 & 01 factory FSM's online. It took several hours even with a high speed connection but the pdf manuals are 100% complete.
I also got a copy of the 97-00 XJ parts number lists online.
