[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]Up for sale is an older Rockford Fosgate Punch 40x2 Trans Ana amp. Rated at 20 x 2 at 4 ohms and 40 x 2 at ohms but its underrated big time. This amp kicks ass. Can easily slam two 15s or push some components.

Looking for $50 obo

No offense but I really don't see it "slamming" anything over a 6 inch mid. 15's is way out of that realm. Pushing components would be alright.

I would get it if I needed it for my 5.25s

Good luck.

Obviously someone who has NEVER ran an older RF amp.

I ran an old school punch 45 to 2 cerwin vega DVC12's and it hit HARD.

What does the wattage jump to when bridged?

I would say without testing actual power and based on similar fosgate amps:

200 Watts RMS Total Bridged Into 1 Channel;
120 Watts RMS per Channel @ 2 Ohms;
70 Watts RMS per Channel @ 4 Ohms

Heh, this isn't a swap meet amp where they push the thing til it explodes, measure the wattage, and advertise it as that. A quality amp manufacturer will often advertise the amp at its RMS rating, which is approximately 70% of its peak, and that is NOT where it is exploding.

Those are real-world numbers, and those numbers push speakers :).

Sorry , but mabe Alabama amps run different, I am going to fully back Josh here.... these amps are way underated and can take serious abuse... tey would push 15s.... 12s or 10s!

This is seriously tempting Josh, if you still have it at the end of the month (when I'll have money again) I'll buy it.
