Front Suspension Basics 101

The most important specialty tool involved is a brain.

I don't think any amount of words will make up for the lack of one of those.

I keep trying to tell my best customer CEO that same thing, and they keep hiring temps at minimum wage and wonder why they have accidents!!!

There is no one in my area who works on cars, otherwise, I would not be spending DAYS trying to learn something on a forum that can be explained in 30 seconds in person. Going forward, it might be smarter to just pay a mechanic $100/hr to answer my questions. Forums are basically impossible unless you already know what you're doing.

Forums are not expedient by any means in many cases. Sometimes we get lucky. Most mechanics will not teach customers, but you might find one. Have you tried to find a local jeep chapter in your area and find someone who will spend some face time with you?

I think once you get knee deep into the hard copy FSM you will find Naxja a wealth of very hard to get info, that is not in the FSM.

When someone can pay $200 to have someone hang a picture in their home, I figure they can pay a mechanic to turn their steering wheel back and forth!

This is what they mean side to side. Put your key in the accessory position so it unlocks the steering wheel. Have someone do this motion while you crawl under the front and look for parts that have a lot of play. A dead give away is popping sounds which is an indicator something's worn or loose. Good luck

Kinda funny I posted saying to look on you tube for directions and help
