Front Seats for XJ

I have a pair of front seats for the XJ for sale. This are located in Pasadena, not back here in NY. They just came out of my '95, and include the seat brackets with sliders to mount to a '95. This style uses the vertical lip for the front mount, where the front bolts go horizontally into a bracket on the floor. The rear simply bolts through the floor.

Both seats fully recline. I would recommend spacing the rear of the seat up a bit to make the driving position more vertical. The seating position is pretty comfortable, and the side bolsters are quite firm.

The seats are in good condition. There are no rips or tears in them, though there is some abrasion on the side near the reclining handle, and some scuffs on the back s of the seat. I do not know the brand of the seats, but similar ones appear to sell new for about $200 each, plus brackets.

I am asking $200 or best offer for the pair, including the sliders and seat brackets.

David would these fit behind the back seat of my jeep?

Absolutely! I see no reason why you can't bolt them right in. you might have to move the factory spare tire for additional comfort, and you may want to restrict the height of the passengers to 5'.

If anyone knows who makes these I'd love to know. If buy them if I could find a matching 36" bench seat for the rear

I've looked several times trying to find an exact match for these seats, and their brand name, but have come up empty. It does appears to be a fairly standard model, similar ones on eBay, etc. I'm sure they are not a well known brand like Corbeau.

As far as a matching rear seat, I've seen very few places that make a rear seat at all, but I'm betting that PRP could match this material and color pretty easily.

You forgot a key detail David!

These seats are two door / MJ friendly, the backs will tilt forward for loading.

Thanks - good point. They do flip forward, as well as recline.

I'd be willing to do like $150 but not sure how I'd get them to SD?

I'd take $150. I'm sure we can find a parts train to SD. Any chance you are coming to Goatfest? Shoot me a PM - I'm sure we can figure something out.

I just talked to Dan, he can bring them to your house after Goat Fest.

PM me, and we can finalize the details.

Doh! How'd I miss this...?

My drivers seat broke in Moab...

I'll be glad to put you in line. Let's give the other guy a couple of days to respond. I've not gotten a response yet.

Sounds good.

Do you know if they would mount in a '97 ok? I don't know how different the seat mounts are old style vs mew.

I'm also not sure where the seat mount year breaks are either.

The front mount wraps partly around a raised channel on the floor, and the mounting bolts are horizontal. The rear bolts simply bolt vertically through the floor, or mount to vertical studs that protrude from the floor.
