Front pinion height...

Right now I have a LPD30 but was wondering how much higher the pinion would be on a HPD30? If it would benifit me good deal it might just be worth picking up a housing and swapping all my junk over into it

Maybe 1-1/2" to 2". Look at your axle and the offset from the axle shaft centerline to the pinion shaft centerline. Now visualize flipping your axle upside down. Double the offset and that's how much you would raise the pinion.
