So here is what I have done so far. The bumper is 2x4x.120, with 7/8 tube for the pre-runner bar. i still have to fab up the mount which will tie into 3 or 4 other holes and weld a 2in skirt around the top to cover the gap.

Im also adding 3 more inches to the 2x2 side peices to mach the body line better.

its mostly for looks and maybe lights (decorative). just wanted something thats light weight and gives it more of a visual pop. plus its the only size under 2in that i had to work with.

use 1" and take it to a fab shop and have them bend it for ya, its cheap, and will look better. good start tho! :D

i work in a fab shop, but the scrap we can use for home projects is limited. and the tube on there now is just under 1in. i would have bent it but it was already cut up into 28in drops.

well here it is all done and painted. And yes i built my mounting brackets to tie into to 4 more bolt holes on the side of the frame, since i know someone will ask me if i did. anyways, still debating on which lights i want to put on. thinking about some low profile ones because i want as little stuff as possible blocking the radiator.

dude im not trying to crumb on you at all, i love the look and i see what you're going for... with that said:

the bottom main part of the bumper looks really really good, but that small tube looks like toothpicks on there. i know it may be strong, hold whatever weight you put on it, but it just looks dinky to me. maybe im the only one who thinks this :dunno: ? i would just save up the dough and get a piece of nice 1 1/2 if you're lucky you can go to your supplier and ask if they have any scraps, or just buy an 8 ft section and you should have plenty! i like the design tho dont get me wrong, i dont want to come off like an ahole here :D

The bumper looks really good... but the pipe looks somewhat ebarrassing... I'd say cut it off and it'll look really good, b/c that stinger isnt going to function for much.. or do you have specific plans for it?...

If you're workin in a fab shop, why not bend the tubing instead of the angle cut and weld stuff?

That was my plan but the only stuff i had acces to was already cut up :tears:

Didnt mean to sound like i was jumpin down anyones neck. i know the tube looks small, but im too lazy to go through all the effort to cut it off and its only going to hold two thin square lights anyways. i may change it later on down the road but for now it will have to do untill i can get my hands on some better, free scrap from work. but thanks for the imput guys.
