Found!

Those are some sweet flares...where can I get some of those?

Probably not too horrible of a deal, with all the goodies and all.
I wonder how those revolvers work with the short shocks in back.

With a little bit of work thet actually could be fine.

The rims alone are 280 each from www.poisonspydercustoms.com (I think)

BTW What is the area code for Simi Valley? 805?

Aren't you in the wrong neighborhood? :laugh3:

Hang on Troy before you blow a load. We should have some pics tomorrow.

If I didn't already put the $ into my XJ and have 2 more I was selling....I'd be all over this 1. Wow, it is really setup. It's kind of scary when people put dana 60's into XJs or 60/14 bolt because then you want to run such big tires to justify them and we still have a unibodied vehicle here people. Is that a hp60? I think it is and full floater 60 rear. It looks like these are F350 axles which are very nice. What's the bit that the axle are XJ factory width? I see them sticking way out. If they are stock Ford axles they are 69" front and 65-67" rear wms to wms. Very nice nonetheless. Is this guys planning on bringing this beast to WA or is his back against the wall needing to sell it quick? I wonder if he would want 2 of my XJ for this 1? :laugh3:

Troy

I doubt it.

I am probably going to call him and get more details. I'll post up when I do.

I'd like to make this Big Red II :laugh3:

Just an fyi, for anyone wanting a full floating D60, there is one on OC's Craigslist right now... $250 IIRC.

Those are easy to find. I see them here in Sacramento and the Bay Area for $100 or so on Craigslist and Pirate4x4. Thanks for the info though and on this awesome XJ. I would sell off those tires for some 38-40's and go with 5.38 gears with the front being a hp60. I'll have to see if he can bring it up to me in Sacramento if he is planning to bring it up to WA with him. :laugh3:

wow

a ball joint D60 with normal steering and RE bracketry

someone has more $$$ than brains on that one...

maybe its just me, but I like projects to be clean when they are done and that front end is probably in need of a re-build

id be willing to bet that the Ball Joints, shafts, hubs, calipers, and possibly rotors are origonal -

why go to the effort of the swap and use old parts?

I wouldn't loose too much sleep on it. I just called him and he said it SOLD for asking price.

I was going to buy it and fix it up. I figures the wheels/tires alone were 2400 new and I could fix it up a bit and make it worth while.

Oh well, maybe next time.

I called him at 5:30 pm PST and he said he was just crossing into Washington and he decided to keep it. The # listed on the pic link is area code 805.

This Jeep does need some work, but it is a great deal for the year, axles, and tire/rim combo. I would gut the axles and go with 35 spline alloy shafts, CTMs and 5.38 gears, heavy duty steering and hydro assist, also 40" MTRs on H2 wheels. He still might sell it only now from Washington.
Thanks for posting this XJ up for us to drool over. :)
