Finally getting around to doing my 8.8 swap I bought a year ago. Axle is under, tacked in and now gotta make brake lines and weld in shock mounts.
Would love to see how you did your brake lines and know if you would change it or leave it. Have ideas for mine but two heads are better than one.

Please post pics as I dont know anyone local that has done the swap already.

In on this one. Have the swap done but my brake lines are kind of a cluster.

Which kit did you go with?

My spring perches, shock mounts, u-bolts and plates came from Iron Rock Offroad.
My ebrake cables,1310 ubolt adapter, abs sensor, came from East coast gear supply.

Bone Yard 8.8 4.10 LS axle

Can you two post pictures of how they are? Tim I don't recall how they are done. I know its not a 8.8 but when I did my D60 I did like Andy, aka Lowrange2, did. Bought straight lines and bent to fit. Not very well either..... LOL!

I got my 8.8 already build from trailratethis several years ago. Not sure if these are the photos you are looking for, but here is what I have. I should note, I DO NOT have a e-brake:

yes that is what im wanting thanks.

Im thinking about mounting the soft line over top of the springs having the hard line come from there then down to the top of the axle and over keeping them out of the way of rocks or what not.

Liked how you used the vent tube and hard lines all together like that.

ok so looks like mounting the soft line under has not been an issue with wheeling so might just do the same.

I ended up buying the east coast gear supply brake cables, actually two sets as a buddy was gonna do the swap at the same time but didnt.
They connect like factory and dont need any modding.

Are you both running a SYE or Non?
Im gonna use the 1310 adapter and bolt my stock drive shaft to the 8.8

I'm also running an SYE. I've never had any issue with this set up - including how the hard line is mounted.

awesome, thanks guys. Hope I can get to finishing the install this week.
Im only at 3" lift and tacked in my spring perches in on the jeep to all me to set my pinion angle with my lift so I dont have to run shims.
Once its all done and double checked I will burn it all in.

Not too far off from mine then. I'll have to try and grab pictures this week. I honestly can't remember how I crammed the lines in there this time around. I did have to re-do one after the initial test drive because it was rubbing on the inside of the wheel (glad I caught that one quickly).
