For those of you who may be looking for a set of snowfighter axles

Re: Re: For those of you who may be looking for a set of snowfighter axles

What are snowfighter axles?

They are Dana 60's that were avail 78/79 on certain model fords as an option.

Both front and rear are high pinion

35 spline shafts front and rear

Thicker tubes

The front pumpkin is 6" from the inner knuckle as opposed to 3".
This is ideal for someone who wants to fit front springs up front.

The ad reads its a 77, but it may be possible its a late model with the new axles. I may call to find out for sure.

damn you west coasters, you guys make me wanna pack up some axles and drag them out there to sale. ive picked a couple of 78/79 hp60's up for a couple hundred bucks each.

Ha.. you could make a few bucks if you brought out a bunch of axles.. I see them online for 800-1600 but Cost is 1200 to ship from Tennessee to San Diego.

Reality is that it really only makes a difference if you plan to keep coils up front. The extra space is nice. If you run air shocks, struts, or coilovers, its not quite as important.
