my buddy has a d44/9inch combo he is selling, has anybody try to flip a 231? Or would I be better off just swapping in a dana 300? Thanks

If it's a Ford D44, wouldn't it be a driver-side drop?ttocsnekia said:my buddy has a d44/9inch combo he is selling, has anybody try to flip a 231? Or would I be better off just swapping in a dana 300? Thanks

That's still a low pinion though. See if you can find a Ford high-pinion D44 out of a mid-1970s F-150. That's the way to go, if you can find one.ttocsnekia said:on second thought, finding a waggy front will prolly be the easiest
F150 D44 is 5 x 5.5. A 3/4 ton Ford D44 is 8 lug.ttocsnekia said:what is the bolt pattern on those
