Flexalite vs random brand fans?

If they fail I'll get an oem style fan. For 50 bucks I got 3 fans and wiring/relay/mounting, for 70 at my local yard I could get just a stock 4.0 fan, no wiring.

70$ for a stock efan?!?!
Wtf!

I lived in Waterbury, CT for about 6 months and visited most of the yards in that area. The yard owners there think the parts are covered with gold.

Agreed.

I'd stick with the mech fan if you don't feel like dropping money on a good, quality electric fan setup.

The SPALs on my Griffin radiator in my MJ pull an insane amount of air.

Which of the Spall fans do you have?

I have been using the Derale duals DER-16928 since the middle of 2004 and have not had a problem with them or over heating even in stop and go traffic in South Florida summers. Yes they are high priced and not a drop in unit but well worth the cost.

The only yards around here won't even pull apart something to get a specific part for you, but they won't let you go in the yard to do it yourself. When I needed axle shafts they wanted to sell me the whole axle for 150, which is freaking retarded for a d30

My radiator is a 31 x 19 dual pass all aluminum Griffin unit that comes with a shroud and two 12" SPAL fans.

According to their specs, at normal atmospheric pressure, the two combined pull slightly under 4k cfm.
