firstborn vs jeep... Proud PaPa thread

So how stressfull was it waiting for the baby to decide to come out?
it was worth every minute, but I think I started on my gray hair waiting.
My wife was a week and a half late too. every ten minutes she would get a braxton hix and I wouldn't know what to do.

Ahhh. The blissfull ignorance of newbies.

Ever notice, between all the supportive babble and helpful gestures YOUR parents give, the occasional sly smile? That somewhat mischievous grin?

Damn right they know something. They are going to take special satisfaction in watching you pull every last hair out of your head.

It does get better most of the time. When they grow up and move out. :D

I would like a minute for rebuttal...

Congrats.. have a 2 month old boy here and 7 yo girl. I rewarded myself with a lift kit and tires for my xj for the birth of my son. I talked the wife into it while she was pregnant. some how they dont care what you do while pregnant...LOL

I think you are right. I cut my doors in to half doors, and ran doorless for a while, and now I have four doors for the front two full and two half... she didn't say a thing except for complaing about having to ride with no doors... she didn't feel safe at 65 to 70 mph... I guess you could say that she wanted the half doors...
If only I had known I would have pushed for the 33's and lockers...

Hey John, Congratulations!! Thats excellent, we are going in for our scheduled c-section on Monday Aug. 14th. This will be our second. Kids are great, our little girl is 2-1/2 now, and she is lots of fun. With any luck, you'll be back to your regular sleep schedule in a few months. It took us about 6 weeks to get Amy to sleep through the night.

Best of luck!
Andy

It has. We're having a party for mine later today. She turns 5 on Wednesday. WTF? She's been worth every bit of pain I've had to endure from our legal battles. Grey hair is popping out all over my head from the stress. I would kill and die for her though.

Congrats, BTW. :)

congrats to you! It is really hard to leave my 5-month old in the mornings, she is so cheerful and smiley and I don't want to miss a thing as far as her growing/developing. Fatherhood is a wonderfull thing!
