I was cleaning out some old files and took a minute to sort through some pics on an old hard drive. This one was the first evening I brought my $300 find home. The misses thought, as she still does, it was a heap of rusty metal. Still going after 5+ years. (11-15-2005 10:20pm)

man, i wish i could figger out how to get pictures off the wifey's mac and onto photobucket. mine was a 74 cj5, 258, 3spd, dana18, d44/d30, 4.10's, factory limited slip, and a 2" add-a-leaf on 32" off brand mudders. that jeep would go any place i wanted to, and a lot of people thought i was nuts to DD it, and even go from tennessee to florida in it.
i'd trade a testicle for it. i actually traded it for my fullsize waggy, which is cool, but i've had to work on it, and my cj was always dependable.

This was my first jeep. 1992 YJ Sahara. 2.5" Old Man Emu/2"body, Rancho 9000's, JKS sway bar discos/telescoping trac bar, Detroit EZ locker in the d35, 33" Procomp muds on black American Racing, Gibson cat-back, Rock-it air intake w/K&N, PIAA's, and a Cobra Classic. I'd trade the FJ to have THIS jeep back as it sat here. I got it in 1999 and lost it 2003. I wheeled it the entire time and never broke anything. It had 3.08 gears in the axles and I drove it the same way I do now. Carl (FlameRedTJ) still has his, I'll see if I can scan it some from back in the day.

p.s.---- Doug, WTF were you thinking getting rid of that cj7! That thing is GORGEOUS!

This was my first Jeep. 1972 Commando. Bought it from a friend for $600 worked on it a little and gave it a paint job. I ended up selling it to help fund the Cherokee. I got $2200 for it. Sorta wish I still had it.

Then I got the cherokee in 07. Bone stock, yuck!

And this is how it looks today...

And its still not done... :confused1

didnt really have much of a say in it, i paid for most of it but when i was 17 years old we put it in dads name for insurance purposes, i built it from a freshly painted body and drivetrain.... then when they got divorced it got lumped into the separation of assests and he got it, then he had to balls to offer to "sell it back to me" for more than i had in it in the first place....

speaking of 1st jeeps.. we found my wifes 1st jeep at a dealership in Rome GA.. how cool would it be to get the jeep back>??

Some pics of our family's (my parents and I) first Jeep. My dad picked it up new from the dealership in '81. It brought me home from the hospital when I was brought into the world in '83. My dad still has it to this day and it will be passed down to me when the time comes. :D

I have tried for the last few months to find a picture of my first jeep, I can't. It was 6-7 years ago now. 84 Cherokee with the GM 2.8 v6, Bright Yellow, sitting on a rigged up lift kit on 33's. Parted it out about 6 months after starting on it due to unexpected mechanical issues :X Never been fond of Yellow, but I would love to have my XJ that yellow again.
