Ended up ordering the 6.5 kit with the SYE kit and cv driveline.

Still a few boxes missing. Also ordered 33x12.5 Mickey Thompson mtz's. With 15x8 wheels!

Got the SYE don't last night just a little cop fused what to fill the t case with, it had gear oil in it but instructions say to put ATF in it. If I'm correct ATF isn't a very good lubricant.

ATF! never use gear oil in a 231. sorry, but whoever put gear oil in it was an a$$hole.

You might want to open it up, spray it with brake cleaner then refill it. Dunno how well gear oil and atf are going to mix. Double check with your manual, I seem to recall dex/merc being in there somewhere while I was filling t-cases but I did a zj at the same time so I may be confusing it with that.

Did a little reason on the 231, although I did know that their is an oil pump in it I didn't realize gear oil would not be good for it. I'll drain it and fill with ATF +4 this week....

I already want more flex, definitely needs gears and lockers.

Think I might try to roll new barring in it assuming a compression test goes good.. How much would a minor rebuild be? New main and rod bearings, maybe rings. Definitely head gasket and maybe a blow... I mean head job.
