what happened to the stroker...and the vortec..and the d30 you built along with the 9 inch rear...this build takes so many different paths I'm confused what is happening
i was looking into a 4.0 based motor, maybe an all out stroker but settled on rebuilding a 4.0 to just a bit nicer than stock, Alex22 is slow as **** and some what busy so he finished up his own motor then stopped working on mine after the block work was done. i looked into an LSx swap since a "powerful" 4.0 is still a turd and a half, then Kastine lead me to a dirt cheap 5.3 with trans in the truck that i could get the harness out of. so my dumb ass picked that up, and gave the 4.0 to my brother for his more than POS 96 falling apart XJ. in the mean time i'll be beating the shit out of the 4.0 in there now with 200k on it till i feel like throwing the LS in there.
i built an OEM housing ford 9 with a Detroit, 4:56s, chromo 32s shafts, then a D30, 4.56s, Aussie, chromo shafts, Clayton high brackets, WJ conversion for it since i had them laying around, they are under it now, look at the pictures and post #207
want them? brand new everything minus WJ calipers, pads and rotors. 2g
get this.... YET ANOTHER CHANGE IN DIRECTION!!!! since i'm dumb and can't pass up a "good deal" i now have a new set of Spidertrax Cs and knuckles for their F-450 stuff on the way for my front end. all along i was planning on a 609 front but wanted to keep it cheaper and go with the junk yard D60. oops :gee:
