Hey, fixed your link...
Those are smoking hot !!!
I really like the ease of installation; that alone is worth a couple of bucks. And I dont think the price is too far out there, the steel alone is probably worth $200 or more for the full set-up.
I made rock rails from 2x4x1/8" stock and I was gonna bolt/weld them to the frame rails this week. But I might wait and get those frame rail stiffeners for $275 and weld to those.
I think it's worth it with the bends/ hardware/ mounts already there and figured out. That would be at least a day in the shop with the tape measure, cutter, welder, drill and grinder to make up something even close to that.
EDIT: Yup. Ramsey's right, here's the list;

And after reading thru some of those; I'd say if you had the ability, tools and space to fab up your own, then fab away and save the dough.
Now I got more ideas in my head for what I'm gonna do with my rock rails. I'll be adding to them to create the frame stiffener/protection as others have done.
HOWEVER; if you dont have the skills/tools to do this, then the Detour setup is the way to go. It looks so easy; I might change my mind again !!!
