Filarski Bros. Baja 1000 Prep

Looks nice. And heavy.

What did the old car weigh, loaded to race? 5k?

Not a criticism, I know what it takes to make the chassis live........

I am speaking out of place here... but the Jeepspeed I used to chase for weighed in at 4100lbs, with a driver..... and fully gassed up (add another 200 for co dawg). Eric looks like he is set up with a few additional spares, but my guess would be 4500lbs

No worries,

It weighed in at 4,150 lbs. Loaded with spares and gas at Parker last year.

We measured all the tube that came out vs. all the tube that went back in and we added about 25lbs.

However, we lost the extreamly heavy dash, gutted the doors and and lost a spare tire in favor of just one, so technically we'll probably end up about 100 or so pounds lighter than when we started and with the weight of the fuell cell (260 lbs. Full) now under the car.
Not to mention a much better (IMO) chassis design.

Boom, there it is!

I cant thank Jack Robbins at RVMD enough. He had asked if we wanted a different color to help break up the Orange a bit and I told him to do what he thought was best.

I rolled up to his shop in Menifee to pick the car up and found this in front of the door...

It looks awesome!

I cant impress just how great a company RVMD has been. I gave him the car with just a few days to get it done because of my already tight schedule and not only did he get it done in time but took it to another level.
Jack and his guys are the best!

HOT!!!
You need some clear corners for that thing.

Your not joking...

Sometimes you just need to sit back and laugh at the tragicaly hillarious things that happen in life.

We had the front and rear tires blocked while we took the straps off the car as it sat on the trailer in the feild across the street from my house.

The wind has been wipping at 50'ish mph the last day and a half.

As Ryan and I were in the house talking on the phone with Ron, one of the other drivers. We heard a crashing sound.

The wind had blown the Jeep over both 2X4's, it rolled off the trailer, across the street and right down the side of my little comuter Honda...

You just have to sit back and laugh...
