Fiberglass fenders and radio antenna

Not sure if this would be the place to ask, but figured the most fiberglass fender users would be here.
What have you done for a radio antenna replacment or remount after putting on fiberglass? I had heard some ideas, but could not get them to work so if anyone has pictures of what they have done would be great. Maybe there are other threads on this, but I could not find.

you just need to find a way to ground it to the battery. Try a mount for an RV they are designed for mounting to fiberglass.

I didnt do anything other than zip tie it underneath the fiberglass. The antenna I had did not ground on th fender, so I layed it flat, and ran underneath the glass, and it served its purpose just fine.

i used a piece of "L" metal to screw to the fenderwell and mounted my antenna on that.

Did you then drill a corisponding hole in the fiberglass to go through or is yours under aswell?

ha. i couldnt even get my antenna off my stock fenders. dont listen to the radio much anyways...but any tips on how to get it off with out breaking it?

it works ok. here is a pic for you. disregard the screw i forgot to put a ground wire to the body. the spiky part of the antenna needs to be grounded.

I have been without an fm antenna sinse i went to fiber, and i need a new one!.

problem is, is i obviously didnt want something OEM, so i was thinking about setting up a cb antenna, and attempting to use that for fm. i dont have a cb, but wouldnt mind setting one up down the road.

did some research on firesticks website, and they make a little adapter thingy for just that reason!
