FarmerMatt's LED tail lights tested in east TX

I guess it's good that I hadn't gotten the write-up on Matt's tail lights done yet, because now I've got some "real world" testing to go along with the install write-up. We went out wheelin' this past weekend in our normal east TX stomping grounds (BMRA in Gilmer, TX for those that are familiar with it). On one of the the trails there was this muddy little hole of a rut that sucks everyone in, unless you stay really high to the right, and puts your driver's side into the wall. Well, apparently XJ's drag their tail end hard on the wall getting out of the hole, and even though it's "soft" dirt, it'll still bust out your tail light.

In the hole.

Scuffed up liftgate, but no damage

The XJ that came through behind us, wasn't so lucky

Hinkley was with us too, rest of the trail pic are here http://jeepin.com/gilmer/050129_album/index.htm

Mods, if this post/thread doesn't really fit in the modified tech section, feel free to move it to a more appropriate forum.

Sorry to hear that.

Did you throw rocks at him?? Becuase you can, you know. He actually likes it.

Ya, really.
Never knew Hinkley was into "muddin'". :D

What do you mean? It looks like it was made for mud. It's even the same color, East Texas camouflage.

lol! well, thankfully this weekend was about as muddy as Gilmer gets, unless you go there when it's actually raining... summer time it's usually pretty dry. ;)

So when are you going to trade in the MT/Rs for some boggers?

I don't know why, but I had to copy your line and put it in my post, weird!

Fixed it! :D

That stuff looks like poop. Probably because you copied it directly from his link. They ended with .htm, if you checked the properties it ended in .jpg. That is why it worked for me and not you. So there.
