Fan Clutches

Quick question on fan clutches. From the reading I have done. It seems that if I am getting hot in traffic, the fan clutch could be on its way out. Anyhow, is there a particular clutch that is good, or just go OEM?

OEM is probably best, but the most expensive. I would go for one from napa or Carquest, the others seems ot have fitment problems.

I bought one from Autobone for ~$35 with no fitment issues and it has a lifetime warranty.
Seems to work fine for the past year.

I think I'm going to try a flex-a-lite fan. Cheaper and will cool better since it wont slip.

I put a flex fan on mine, mainly for the difference in price supposebly it increases power a little bit but I could see this going either way, it is much lighter than the clutch fan but it does spin all the time but it definitely keeps things cool, although it did get hungry and eat its shroud on a trail last week lol
