so guess who calls and apologizes after i emailed pics to rustys. RUSTY himself, he said the width of the hd bushing and sleeve end is incorrect(yes i know its bushing and sleeve but i still call it a tre). hee said theere is going to bee a little play in the threads which is bs, bc i didnt seem to have any with the old end. anywho, im still pissed about thee play in threads but im glad they are sending me the right part free of charge, but the fact that i have been a customer for over 5 yrs doesnt mean shit and it takes pics and video for him to agree they did wrong is bs. i had a leak in my fox air shocks and the didnt say send it back or its not tight they sent me a brand new one with a return postage stamp, now thats cu servicee.

there should be a jam nut on the end that eliminates the play in the threads... similar to the ones here on my RE UCA's.

If there isnt a jam nut, then go to the hardware store with the HD end and thread nuts on there till u find one that fits.
then put the nut on, screw your end into the tube, adjust to length, tighten the jam nut towards the trackbar and there should no longer be any play.

Hey Ranger, do you have a larger image you can post? I can barely see that one...
;)

this just proves you can't please everybody, the owner of a company calls you and tries to solve your issue and you are still mad.
glad you don't call me for help!
The fact that he was concerned about the problem enough to call you personnaly says alot about what type of man he is. i would gladly do business with anybody that would do that. and Fox is a huge company that really doesn't care about sending 1 shock out to "Joe-Blow"

the only reason he called be was bc he was the only person running the phones, scott was in the back doing the shipping. i shouldnt have to call and bitch that a repaired part was incorrect, it took them two weeks, it should have been right. fox is a great company that does care about its customers, did rustys ever say "well you might be right ill go ahead and send you another part", no he didnt, not until i had to take pictures to prove that he was wrong. and when i told him that the slop in the threads was discerning and that i wouldnt feel safe on the hwy with it what did he say then, "theres going to be some play it it dont worry about it." its his business its all he does, i shouldnt have to tell him that hes wrong, should I? i know wtf im doing, i know about a jam nut, i know the diff bet a bushing and sleeve and a TRE, if i didnt feel this was that big of a probleem i wouldnt post it

dude is this is the worst thing that ever happened to you?
Is it being fixed?
You need to calm down, mistakes happen do you think rustys' deliberately made that mistake?
i am not siding w/ anyone just giving my .02 and with another 1.48 you could get a cup of coffee

Slow service isn't something I think anyone likes to deal with. Why should he give Rusty slack whenever he's the one not doing his job fast enough?

did rusty's do a bad job. . . yes, fine, OK!
sorry i jumped into this discussion, cause honestly i don't really care that much! I was just trying to point out that rustys' is trying to make it right and what else can they do? i have been "wronged" by so many companies so many times i can't count it on all my fingers and toes. i am sure everybody on this site could write a story about EVERY company, good and bad.
like i said "it is just my.02" i'lll go away now!

I know of alot of companies that would've made you send that incorrect part back before they even talked about sending out another. He made a mistake and he's taking care of it. You sound like a real jerkoff to me. When you modify a truck and go offroad things are gonna go wrong. He could've told you to go suck sand in the first place. You're the one who stressed that rod enough to break it. A 12 day return is damn fast. If I owned my own company and wasn't a millionaire I would've repaired your broken part and sent it back also. Most companies will say they'll "repair or replace" anything that's of any real value rather than just send a new one out. For you to go on here and badmouth a company whose owner is solving your problem personally is beyond me. Frankly at this point I don't think Rusty needs you as a customer. You don't appreciate anything. I'm sure you never made a mistake.
Man I can't believe I'm wasting my time here.

ok - then use a Jam nut to fix your problem

and call a Tie Rod End a TRE and call a sleve bushing combo, a Rusty's HD end - and i wont correct you on your incorect termanology

i know im being pissy, but i told him the 1st time that this was a DD and i have to go to college everyday. he assured me that as soon as mine got there a "new" would be sent out. i called 3 xs and everytime the sending date got pushed back, so i was lied to 3xs. That doesnt sound like good customer service to me. i agree that he is doing right buy sending me a new piece i just dont feel that i should have to go to these links to keep his business. thats all im going to say
