So long story short F@#K Priceline.com.

I'll put this in bullet points to make it easier to cliffnote:

*Check out Priceline.com for a hotel for me and my GF's 2 year

*Get to the end of the order process, initial in a box that says "I have read and understand terms and agreements, etc. etc."

*Scroll down and see that "If I click buy now" Priceline.com chooses the hotel for you, you don't choose the hotel. Fukk that I want to choose my own hotel

* I click Do Not Want button, close out window

*Check my email a little while later...and there is a reservation made for a hotel...WTF!? (As if I clicked "buy now" button...this is a $200 hotel room reserved)

*Call priceline...talk to someone obviously not american...told nothing they can do...not possible to cancel even after I tell them its not an authorized payment

*Call the hotel, they tell me they can't do anything and that priceline is the only one that can (since apparently they buy rooms in bulk)

*Call priceline again and get the "highest up" in customer service possible...get the same BS. Felt like talking to a wall. Unauthorized transaction = you not allowed to my money!

Sooooo now it looks like I am going to have to file a CC dispute since this company bring the FAIL. I would more than likely just use the reservation since it is a nice hotel in the price range we planned, even though its farther out from downtown denver than we wanted...buuuuut we made a non-refundable reservation at another hotel in Denver before I got the news about the priceline.com unauthorized transaction

Fukkin theives!

That sucks balls!
If you get it figured out, Hotel Teatro is an incredible place. Took my ex there for our 3 year... cost me a few hundred, but that was for one of their nicer rooms (in an already high-end hotel) and for all the services (had some roses and chocolate covered strawberries by the bed waiting when we got back from dinner, among other things :D).

Call your Credit Card company up and file a dispute as planned. The sooner you do this the better. I had a similar situation with a rental car through Priceline and the CC was able to straighten it out, but it was no fun.

how did you get so far that you had put in a credit card number but didn't know that they choose the hotel?
